Our Friendly Staff invite you to stop by, call, email, or write us. We are a full service specialty retailer located on Main Street in Lake Placid, site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics.
Ruthie's Run has been offering a fine selection of sportswear and skiwear at the same location since 1968. Ruth Prime purchased Thaire's Ski Shop, did away with ski hardgoods, and changed the name of the store to Ruthie's Run. Cathy and Wayne Johnston have kept the high standards of service and selection at Ruthie's Run since buying the store in 1984.

Site of the new Ruthie's Run location at 11 Main Street (currently 2415 Main) in September 1968. The location was split into four stores at the time. Peter Roland renovated and leased the space to Ruth Prime in time for a grand opening around Thanksgiving 1968.
This watercolor of the Ruthie's Run storefront was painted by Matt Daly in the late 1980s. Check out his current artwork at www.mattdalyart.com
